Death of Thomas Brewer
Mr. Thomas Brewer, of near Superior died Friday, the 16th of heart trouble. Funeral services were held Sunday in the Methodist church of Superior, and the remains laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery, Estherville. Mr. Brewer was born in Adams county, Illinois, fifty-six years ago. He was a member of the Methodist church and a good Christian gentleman.

Dear father thou hast left us,
And thy loss we deeply feel –
But ‘tis God that has bereaved us,
And He our sorrows heal.
