Otto Brakken died of consumption Thursday evening at six o’clock at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Martin Lee, in this city after a lingering illness of several months. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon conducted by Rev. W. H. Knowlton, of the Episcopal church and the remains interred in the Oak Hill cemetery. Deceased was twenty-five years old at the time of his death. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, July 11, 1900)
