Frank Yule, Retired Mail Carrier, Dies
Frank Yule, retired rural mail carrier who worked out of Estherville for many years, died at the age of 77 in El Cajon, Calif., yesterday [January 13, 1952] , after a short illness.Mr. Yule carried mail out of Estherville from 1919 until he retired in 1939. Since his retirement he has spent summers in Estherville and Iowa Falls with his children and winters in California with his son, George.
He is survived by four children, two daughters, Mrs. Robert Perkins (Gertrude) of Superior, Mrs. Willard Rucker (Dorothy) of Iowa Falls; two sons, George P. Yule of El Cajon, Calif., and Elver L. Yule of Estherville; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
His wife, one sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral arrangements will be completed on arrival of the body in Estherville. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
Mr. Yule was a member of the Presbyterian church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 14, 1952)
Yule Services Monday
Funeral services for Frank Yule, retired rural mail carrier who worked out of Estherville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Sternborg funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian church. The Rev. H. C. McMican of Gruver will officiate in the absence of Rev. Thomas G. Melton. Burial will be at Oakhill cemetery. Mr. Yule died Sunday in El Cajon, Calif., at the age of 77. His body arrives in Estherville today. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 18, 1952)
