John Junior Wratten Passed Away Interment Made Here
The remains of John Junior Wratten were brought here from Fairbury, Nebraska, last Sunday for burial. The little fellow was ill at the home of his father but sixteen hours before his death which was caused from Meningitis infection. The dreaded disease took hold of the little fellow with extreme vigor and it seemed nothing could be done for him. He was seven years and seven months of age at the time of his death. The remains were brought here for burial. A short service was held from the Walter Wratten home and services at the Oak Hill cemetery where the remains were laid to rest. The Rev. Davies who arrived here from Fairbury last week officiated at the services. It was his first services here and they came from the place of his last charge.
The floral offerings were wonderful. From all over the county came offerings from railway men and officials who held Mr. Wratten, father of the boy, in high respect. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, November 25, 1925)
