Funeral Held For Andrew Vestrem

Funeral services for Andrew Vestrem, 82 years old, who passed away at his home in Worthington, Minn., Monday noon were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Hanson Funeral home in Worthington. The body was brought back here and burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Mr. Vestrem was a former Estherville resident but left here eighteen years ago to make his home at Worthington. He had been sick for only three days, his death being caused from pneumonia. Mrs. Vestrem died thirteen years ago.

He is survived by two sons and two daughters, George Vestrem of this city and Oscar Vestrem of Milwaukee, Wis. The daughters are Mrs. Hattie Osmundson and Mrs. Frank Weaver, both of this city. A brother, Martin Vestrem also lives in this city.

Estherville people who attended the funeral were Mrs. Hattie Osmundson, Carolyn, John and Dean, Mr. and Mrs. George Vestrem, Dean and Charles, Mr. Clyd Bolty, Miss Vivian Vestrem, Mrs. Cora Woodruff and Martin Vestrem. Mrs. Weaver was unable to attend the funeral on account of illness. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, September 22, 1938)
