Henry Vestrem died Friday [March 20, 1903] night at the home of his parents on the west side, after a lingering illness. Short services were held at the house at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, after which the funeral party moved to the Lutheran church where public funeral services were held. The interment was in the west side cemetery. The deceased was a young man about 28 years of age. About 6 months ago he was taken down with typhoid-pneumonia, which developed into consumption. He has been growing weaker for a long time and his death was not unexpected. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, March 23, 1903)
