Obituary Mrs. A. H. Perry
Martha Ellen Fuller was born in Indiana, on the seventh of November, 1850, and died in her home in Estherville, Iowa, March sixteenth, at ten o’clock in the morning, at the age of seventy-one years, four months and nine days.
She was united in marriage to A. H. Perry, on May first, 1874. To this union were born four children, three sons and one daughter. Of these three have died, leaving only the husband and one son, and six grandchildren to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Perry has lived in Estherville more than twenty-five years and had many friends here. She has suffered much during the latter part of her life and had been confined to her home for many months. Through all of her sickness she was patient and kind, and took her suffering in the spirit of one reconciled to her fate. She was appreciative of any little kindness shown her and was happy when friends and neighbors called to visit with her and to express any sympathy with her.
At her own request her funeral was held from the Methodist Episcopal church, with the Rev. J. W. LaGrone the pastor in charge. The services were held Saturday morning, March 18th, at ten o’clock. The body was laid to rest in the Oak Hill cemetery, (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 22, 1922)
