On June 8, 1912, he married Miss Hattie Vestrum and to this union four children were born.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Caroline Osmundsen, who is 89 years old; three sons, Wayne, John, Jr., and Dean; one daughter, Carolyn; two brothers, Oren of Minneapolis, and William of St. Mary’s, Idaho, and one sister, Mrs. Cora Hunt, of Devils Lake, N.D.
