Many Friends Gather to Pay Last Sad Rites
On Saturday [February 6, 1904] at about one o’clock the death of Frank Nourse occurred. The cause of death being pneumonia complicated at the end with brain fever.
The young man was nineteen years of age, of good habits and was popular with all who knew him. He was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Nourse who reside on the east side of the square.
The deceased was a steady and reliable young man and worked at the trade of carpenter in his father’s shop. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. He carried a life insurance policy for ten thousand dollars in the Knights and Ladies of Golden Precepts.
The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon and were in charge Tuesday afternoon and were in charge of Rev. McLeod. The following young men acting as pall bearers: Carl Hoffman, Herman Sando, Albert Thompson, W. H. Harmon, Wm. Osmundon, Guy Nicholson.
The sympathy of the community is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Nourse in their bereavement. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, February 10, 1904)
