Funeral services for Jack Foster, 73, of Estherville were held today, February 11, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Estherville with Pastor Lynn Potter officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites by VFW Post #3388 & American Legion Post #91 of Estherville was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

He died Friday, February 6, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Estherville.

Jack E. Foster, son of Tom and Vera (Dameron) Foster was born January 18, 1931 in Rockford, IL. He received his education in the Estherville schools. He served in the U.S Air Force. On August 23, 1953, Jack was united in marriage to Bev Marsh in Jackson, MN. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Estherville. He worked on a farm for a time and later started working with his father and they owned and operated Foster and Son Roofing. Jack then drove the truck.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bev of Estherville; four children: Rodney Foster and wife Kathy of Armstrong; Terry Foster of Estherville; Cliff Foster and wife, Cathy of Brooklyn, IA; Kay Besaw and husband, Dave of Estherville; twelve grandchildren; and sister, Melba Hoien of Estherville.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Rodney and Bob.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Estherville.
