Heart Attack Fatal to Dwight Lucas
A heart attack suffered while walking from his car to a drug store in Minneapolis, proved instantly fatal this morning to Dwight Lucas, 43, formerly of Estherville.
His sister, Mrs. Cecil Erickson of Estherville, received a telephone call about 9 o’clock this morning informing her of her brother’s death but did not learn the exact circumstances. She, Mr. Erickson and Mr. Lucas’ mother, Mrs. Justus Peterson, planned to go to Minneapolis shortly after noon to make funeral arrangements. An aunt, Mrs. Ray Van Valkenburg planned to accompany them. Mrs. Erickson said the funeral will be held in Estherville but the exact time will be decided when word is received from a brother, Major C. R. Lucas who is on duty in Japan.
Mr. Lucas moved to Minneapolis 10 years ago from Estherville and had been employed by a railroad there.
