Died – Mr. Mark Fassett, aged 26 years, died Tuesday, August 10th of peritonitis. He was the second son of Almen and Phoebe Fassett, formerly of Homer, Hamilton county, Iowa. Mark had been at work in Jack Creek township since last November. He was buried from the Lincoln House in this city by a large number of our citizens. Although a stranger, many sympathizing friends followed the remains to the West Side cemetery. Rev. Wilcox officiated.
