Died – Very suddenly in Estherville, May 22, 1885, Mrs. Ella Westcott, wife of Ed Westcott aged 34 years 1 month and 10 days.

The bereaved family have our heartfelt sympathies. Of all the sad events it has been the province of the Vindicator to record during the sixteen years this is one of the saddest. The spectacle of four little children bereft of a mother’s care will touch the sympathetic chords in every parents’ heart. (Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, May 29, 1885)
