Mrs. Clarence Hanson Rites Wednesday

Mrs. Clarence J. Hanson, 48, of Wallingford, died at 7:45 a.m. yesterday [Nov. 23, 1952] at Holy Family Hospital of cancer. She had been in poor health for a year and became seriously ill about five months ago.

Born Geneva Maurine Wetterhus on Sept. 19, 1904 in Maple Hill, she attended the Emmet county rural schools and Halfa high school. On Dec. 10, 1924, she married Clarence Hanson in Wallingford.

A life-long resident of Emmet county, she had lived in Wallingford the past few years. She had been active in church work and was a member of the Immanual Evangelical Lutheran church south of Gruver.

Surviving her death are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Orville (Lenora) Rustad of Wallingford and Mrs. Lowell (Darlene) of Wallingford, and mother, Mrs. Rachel Hanson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hanson home in Wallingford and at 2 p.m. at the Wallingford Lutheran church. The Rev. C. B. Gunderson will officiate. Burial will be in the Wallingford cemetery. Friends may call at the Sandin Funeral home after 7 p.m. today and all day tomorrow.
