Mrs. M. C. Kirby Died Shortly After Noon at Her Home.

WAS SICK SEVERAL YEARS

Leaves Large Circle of Friends—Funeral Services to Be Held Tomorrow Morning.

The many friends of Mrs. M. C. Kirby were deeply grieved to learn of her death, which occurred at her home last Monday afternoon. Mrs. Kirby has been in poor health for the past three years and while the end was not unexpected, it came as a shock to the family and friends. The deepest sympathy of the entire community is extended at this time to the sorrowing family, who have done all that human hands could do to make her last days comfortable. Mrs. Kirby had been a resident of Estherville for many years and by her kind, sweet disposition, her readiness to help those in affliction and distress, made a circle of friends who admired and respected her. The memories of her good deeds will live long after her, name is forgotten among men and will serve to keep ever green the picture of a woman who lived her life well.

Mrs. Kirby was born in Limerick, Ireland, on August 20, 1844. When a young girl she came to this country to visit an uncle. It was at that time that she met the man of her choice and she never returned to her native land. About two years later she and Mr. Kirby were married and they came to Tipton, Iowa, where they lived for thirty-four years. They then moved to Estherville, which has since been their home. Three children were born to them, two of whom still survive the mother. They are John P., and Mrs. B. E. Kelley, both of this city. The brother, W. J. Kirby, passed on to wait the coming of mother, in January 1905.

Funeral services will be held from the Catholic church in this city tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock. Burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Kirby was deeply religious and until her last sickness was active in church
circles. She will be missed most of all in the home which was her special pride and joy. A well rounded life has been called to its reward. And though she will be missed by all, yet she is safe from the discord and strife of this world and who will say she is not better off? The Democrat joins
the large circle of friends in extending deepest sympathy to the bereaved husband and children in this hour of sorrow.
