Obituary of Hans Ingebritson
Hans Ingebritson, 97, one of the oldest residents of Emmet County, died last night [Nov 18, 1930] at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ben Peterson. He had been enjoying comparatively good health until Saturday, when he caught cold and became bedfast. Mrs. Ingebritson died a year ago at the age of 95 years.
Mr. Ingebritson was born in July 1833, near Kristiana, Norway. He was married to Sarah Halvorson there and to this union 13 childrem were born. Mr. and Mrs. Ingebritson and their children came directly to Estherville when they emigrated to America 38 years ago.
They resided in Fargo, N. D. a short time but otherwise have made their home in this county. Mr. Ingebritson farmed when he first came to this county, but later worked for the Rock Island Railroad.
He is survived by one son, Nels Ingebritson, who resides in Norway, and five daughters, Mrs. Ben Peterson, with whom he made his home, Mrs. Olaf Skog and Mrs. E. C. Sutton of this city, Mrs. Kirt Borreson of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Andrew Anderson of Petersburg. No arrangements have be made for funeral services. [Hans Ingebritson is buried in the Norwegian Cemetery at Estherville.]
