GRUVER -- Services for Jerry Hoffmeyer, 66, of Gruver will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Baptist Church, Estherville. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Hoffmeyer died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, in Presho, S.D. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville.

Jerald Lee Hoffmeyer was born Aug. 12, 1935, in Estherville, son of Louis G. and Maybell E. (Barlow) Hoffmeyer. He graduated from Estherville High School in 1954. He married Mary Ann Spoo on May 13, 1955, in Jackson, Minn. They lived in Estherville. He worked for the city of Estherville, John Morrell and company, and operated Hoffmeyer Trucking, and Hoffmeyer and Sons.

He was a member of Union baptist Church, Estherville, Gruver City Council, Gruver Fire Department, Estherville Saddle Club, Iowa Honey Producer Association, Central Iowa Beekeepers, Iowa Trappers Association and Emmet County Horse 4-H.
