ESTHERVILLE--Funeral services for Katherine "Kathy" K. Bryant, 51, will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 2 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Intern Pastor Tom Smith officiating. Interment will be held at Estherville Lutheran Cemetery. She died on Tuesday, July 5, 2005, unexpectedly in an accident near Whittemore.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 8 from 4-8 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville.
Katherine Kay Fisher, the daughter of Harold and Lenora (Stiner) Fisher, was born September 14, 1953, in Estherville,Iowa
She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Kathy received her education in the Estherville schools graduating from Estherville High School in 1971.
Kathy was employed for a time at Alexander and Alexander Insurance Company. Later she went to work for Golden Sun Feeds in Estherville and was employed there for over seventeen years. She also was employed at Bank Plus. Currently Kathy was employed at Wal-Mart and also Ferguson Manufacturing in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Kathy loved spending time with her family. In her leisure time she enjoyed bowling, reading and her dogs.
Kathy was very active in her church and was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church in Wallingford, Iowa. Kathy was also a member of VFW Post 3388 Auxiliary in Estherville.
Left to cherish Kathy's memory are her son Jason Bryant of Estherville; her mother, Lenora Fisher of Estherville; two brothers, John Fisher and his wife, Mary of Estherville; Charlie Fisher and his wife, Zenaida of Estherville; special friend, Bill Leach of Estherville; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
Preceding Kathy in death were her father and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
