Carol E. Petesch, 54, of 3060 Central Ave., died Saturday March 22, 2003, at The Finley Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Raphael's Cathedral. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa, followed by a party. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, where there will be a wake service at 7:30 p.m.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1948, in Dubuque, daughter of William and Helen (Gaherty) Campbell. She married Wayne Petesch on Nov. 18, 1972. She was a receptionist at Sunnycrest Manor for 13 years.
Carol loved tropical vacations, and shopping for her family, especially her grandchildren. Her keen sense of humor touched many people's lives. Carol was lovingly known as "Bugga" by her granddaughters Katie and Morgan.
Surviving are her husband, Wayne "Scoobey" Petesch, of Dubuque; a daughter, Sarah Petesch, of Dubuque; a son Matthew Petesch, of Dubuque; two granddaughters, Katie and Morgan; three sisters, Roseann (Dave) Chatfield, Lynne (Bob) Latenser and Susan Campbell, all of Dubuque; her mother-in-law, Mary Lenore Petesch; nieces and nephews, Dan, Shawn and Ryan Chatfield, Gary (Jennifer) Pape and Jennifer (Omar) Chaudhry.
He was preceded in death by her parents.
A Carol E. Petesch Memorial Fund has been established.
The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to Bobbi and Jackie Delaney, and all of Carol's cousins for their love and support during Carol's illness. A thank-you also to Dr. Schope and the staff of Finley 3 West.
