Mrs. Theresa Heacock, 75, died at her home near St. Catherine's, Dubuque County, Saturday night at 10:35 o'clock. She had been ill one week.
The body is at the home, from where the funeral will be held Tuesday morning to St. Catherine's Church, where a mass of requiem will be offered at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Heacock was born at Elkport, Ia., July 22, 1864. She was married to Aaron Heacock on March 5, 1884. Her husband died six years ago. Almost all of her life since her marriage had been spent on a farm near St. Catherine's.
Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. John (Emma) Schlitzer, Mrs. Alois (Edna) Polfer, Mrs. William J. (Florence) Kress, Mrs. Alfred (Nettie) Mueller, Mrs. Neal (Glenn) Smith, and Mrs. Elwin (Gayl) Merritt; her sons, Arvel, Clarence, and Dayton Heacock; her sister, Mrs. Minnie Arens, Strawberry Point, Ia.; and 48 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
All of the daughters live in Dubuque County with the exception of Mrs. Mueller, who lives in Bellevue. All of the sons live in Dubuque County. A fourth son, Louis, died overseas.
