Jimmiko Joe, 43, of Dubuque, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, surrounded by the comfort of her adoring family.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Dubuque Ministries of Truth, 2255 John F Kennedy Road, Unit D.
The burial for Jimmiko will be burial will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
Jimmiko was born September 18, 1978, in the Marshall Islands, the daughter of Roger Joel and Beltia Shikiko. In 1995, she married Ramses Joe in Tempe, Arizona. This union blessed them with five children, Methelindia, Ron, Lorenzo, Nora, and Naggai. They made their home near family and friends in Dubuque.
Jimmiko had a kind and caring spirit. Helping others brought joy to her life. She worked for many years as a nursing assistant, most recently at Mount St. Francis.
In her free time, she could be found in the kitchen cooking or baking treats to share. Reading bible scriptures was an important part of her daily routine. She was also quite musically inclined- she could play several instruments and had a beautiful singing voice. She enjoyed playing a good game of volleyball or making new creations she had sewn. Jimmiko was a bright light of talent and love. She will be forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents; her husband, Ramses; her children; her siblings: Stephen, Percy, Ann, Bruce, Nori, Meltina, Justina, Roseann, and Clifton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
