CASSVILLE – Rose A. Bohringer, age 80, of Cassville, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at UnityPoint Finely Hospital in Dubuque, IA. She was born on August 22, 1941, at home in Bridgeport, the daughter of Clarence and Alida (Adkins) Ward. Rose graduated from Boscobel High School in 1959. On September 26, 1959, she was united in marriage to Robert W. Bohringer. After their marriage, Rose stayed home and raised her family. Once the children were in school, she began doing childcare from her home. In 1983, Rose worked for Swiss Colony, retiring after 14 years of service. She dearly loved raising her family and was a cub scout leader. Rose spent many years at the trapshooting club and even learned to shoot trap. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, and playing cards. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children: Ronda (Jeff) Lenz, Rachel, Richard (Mary), and Roger (Penny) Bohringer; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her siblings: Jeanette Ward, Sharon (Harold) Wolter, Denise Robinette, Debra Perkins and Julia Holman; in-laws: Phylis Taft, Kenneth Junk, Keith (Barb) Bohringer, and David Knoke.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Robert, Rose was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta (Jake) Muntz; a grandson, Bill Muntz; a niece, Kris Keene; a nephew, Steve Wolter; siblings: Vernon Ward, Chester (Mary Ann) Ward, Lois Junk and Milo Ward; in-laws, Ruth Knoke, Jerry Robinette, David Holman, and Raelene Ward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father Gregory Ihm officiating. Burial will be in Little Grant Cemetery, Little Grant Township. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville is assisting the family.
