Obituary
Bill L. Pulford, age 80, of East Moline died on July 11, 2022, surrounded by family at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Illinois.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022, at Christ the King Church, Moline. Visitation will 5-7 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery, with military rites by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 299. Memorials may be made to the family.

Bill was born February 13th, 1942, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Josephine and Ben Pulford. He married Pauline Hendricks on May 4th, 1974, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Bill was a graduate of Moline High School, class of 1960. After graduation, he served his country in the Navy for four years. He sailed on the USS Boston during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and later on the USS Maloy out of New London Submarine Base. He retired from John Deere Harvester Works after many years of service as a Torque Inspector building combines. Bill loved home remodeling and was an expert woodworker. He built many classic 50’s and 60’s Chevy cars through the years and helped organize the Quad City Classics Car Club.

In addition to his wife Pauline, survivors include son, Christopher (Dawn) Pulford of Burlington, Iowa, with grandchildren Daphne (Matt) and Vaughn; daughter Wendy White of West Burlington, Iowa, with grandchild Brandon (Brittany); and son Matt (Kelly) Pulford of Davenport, Iowa, with grandchildren Amelia and Ava; siblings, Bob (Mary Jo) Pulford, Dale (Ruth) Pulford, Jim Pulford, Ken (Debbie) Pulford, and Betty (Tim McGiness) Pulford; and sister-in-law, Karen Pulford.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ben.
