Sister Marie Condon, O.P., died May 1, 2022, at St. Dominic Villa. She was born to Patrick and Margaret (Carroll) Condon on June 20, 1929, in Chicago. She was the fourth of five children. She is survived by nieces, nephews and her beloved Dominican Family.

Sister Marie was professed in 1949. She taught school and worked in organizations in Sioux City, Iowa; Champaign, Illinois; Madison and Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; Faribault, Minnesota; and St. Augustine, Florida. Sister Marie served as principal in Baraboo, Wisconsin and Geneseo, Illinois, and as a tutor at Marillac House and The Learning Center in Chicago. Sister Marie worked in faith formation and parish ministry in Peoria and Chicago, Illinois. She served as assistant prioress at Sinsinawa and served as elderly coordinator and in emergency assistance in St. Augustine, Florida.

Services will be held May 11-12 at Sinsinawa.

Sister Marie brought her gentle, competent and affable ways to every undertaking throughout her life. She lived simply and supported those whose means were limited.
