Funeral Service at
Family Residence

Dr. H. D. Atchison of St. Luke’s Methodist Episcopal Church conducted the funeral of Dr. George Allen Staples, the impressive service being held at the family residence, 159 W. 11th Street, on Friday afternoon at three-thirty o’clock.

The Medical Society, Masonic Order and Elks, of which the deceased was a member, were represented in large numbers. The ushers were Messrs. Wallis Winall, J. Allen Wallis, and J. D. Ryder Wallis. During the service Mrs. William P. Slattery sang, “Oh Rest in the Lord.” Mrs. Martha Zehetner assisting as accompanist.

The flower laden casket was borne to its final resting place by Messrs. Judson K. Deming, J. Harold Wallis, R. Louis Murphy, Glen Brown, Dr. L. S. Bigelow, and Dr. J. KJ. Brownson.

Out of Town Friends Present

The interment was made at Linwood Cemetery. The relative and friends from out of the city in attendance of the obsequies were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Starkweather, Miss Helen Staples, Mrs. Harriet Staples Jay, Mr. Arthur W. Underwood, Mrs. Frank B. Harriman and Miss Marie Kingman, all of Chicago, and Mrs. Frank Randall, Epworth, Iowa.
