Thomas J. “Timmer” Breitbach, age 52, of Dubuque, passed away at 5:55 a.m., on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. To celebrate Tom’s life, private services were held at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery following cremation.

Tom was born on September 23, 1969, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Michael J. and Mary (Shaffer) Breitbach.

Tom grew up and attended school in Dubuque. He was employed as a mason and was lastly working with his brother, “Duck”, for Breitbach Restoration. In his free time, Tom liked to go fishing and enjoyed trying his luck at the local casinos. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tom was also a former member of Holy Ghost Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Angela M. Griffith, San Antonio, TX
and Donald “Duck” (Connie Reiter) Breitbach, Dubuque, IA.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 siblings, Michael “Mick” Breitbach and Caroline and Robert in infancy.

Tom’s family would like to thank Dr. Zimmerman and Courtney with the UnityPoint Finley Hospital ER, Dr. Wagner and Ann on the surgery floor, and the nurses and staff of Hospice of Dubuque for all of their kind, loving and compassionate care of Tom.
