Suzanne M. Farrey, 61, of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at UW Health Hospital in Madison, WI.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18th at the Benton Primitive Methodist Red Church Cemetery in Benton, WI with Pastor Bill Vasey officiating. A Celebration of Life gathering & lunch will follow at the Benton Village Park Pavilion in Benton, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.
Sue was born on April 17, 1960 to Francis and Harriett (Vesey) Hoey in Dubuque, IA. She spent the later part of her childhood in Shullsburg, WI, where she graduated from high school in the class of 1978. She married the love of her life, Douglas Farrey on March 8, 1996 and they raised their children together as one family. Sue was known for her kind heart and sharp wit. She was a talented singer, baker and loved crafts. She enjoyed telling jokes, giving to those in need and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Douglas; 5 children: Christopher Hynes of Platteville, WI, Tyler (Danielle) Farrey of Shullsburg, WI, Robbie Hawk of Waycross, GA, Jasmine Hawk of Shullsburg, WI and Tanner (Lynnan) Farrey of Calamine, WI; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Dan (Deb) Hoey and Shawn Hoey; a sister, Holly (York) Hoey; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Ed Hoey and Francis Hoey and 2 sisters: Connie Hoey and Peg Ahlstrom.
