Obituary
Thomas Nicholas Gust, Sr., 76, of Dubuque, died Thursday, July 22, 2021, in Dubuque.

The funeral service for Tom will be 11:00 am Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at St. Elias the Prophet Greek Orthodox Church with Very Rev. Father Christodulos Margellos presiding. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Thomas was born December 6, 1944, in East Moline, IL, the son of Michael and Metaxia Maharis Gust.

He was retired from John Deere Dubuque Works where he worked as a Design Engineer for over 40 years.

He was a member of St. Elias the Prophet Greek Orthodox Church. He was an avid bass fisherman and competed in local tournaments.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Tom Nicholas (Christine) Gust, II of Hiawatha, IA; three granddaughters, Elizabeth, Annabelle, and Lillian; one sister, Mary Limparis of Palos Heights, IL; and several nieces and nephews; and his former wives, Michelle Moeller, Michele Thayer, and Jolene Stackis Gust.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Peter, Pete, Angie, and Sophie.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for St. Elias the Prophet Greek Orthodox Church.
