Jeffrey H. “Jeff” Weber, age 60, of Dubuque, Iowa, sadly completed his earthly journey suddenly on June 2, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. To honor Jeff’s life, full military honors will be accorded by the Dubuque American Legion, Post #6, on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1111 Davis Street, in Dubuque. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Jeff’s family.

Jeff was born on August 20, 1960, in Dubuque, 1 of 9 children to John and Phyllis (Benda) Weber. He learned the value of family and friends at a very early age and proudly carried that wisdom with him throughout his entire 60+ years walking among us. After high school, Jeff went on to honorably serve our nation with the U.S. Army for almost 8 years before returning to civilian life to begin his career in total production management. He spent over 20 years with Unilever, and another 7 with Campbell’s Soup, while he was living in North Carolina. After health issues had begun to arise 7 years ago, Jeff, along with his soul-mate of over 20 years, Crystal Glover, by his side, made the decision that it was time to be close to family once again as they continued on their journey together. The couple continued to make many wonderful memories together as they embraced their new surroundings. Countless hours were spent at the American Legion visiting with friends, and many afternoons were satisfied with nothing more than a cool breeze accompanying the sun overhead with a fresh supply of bait and a fishing pole in hand. Jeff also possessed a beyond witty sense of humor which would regularly have the entire room in stitches before he was finished with the day’s escapades. And, if the mood was just right and Jeff found himself in a comfortable environment, you may even have possibly been blessed enough to witness him doing his best Steve Perry imitation when a favorite Journey song came on the radio, or even cutting the rug a little if he thought he could get away with it. It seems impossible to imagine a world where Jeff’s vivacious love for life won’t be able to brighten even the darkest of days ahead, but we do trust that the abundance of memories we will all treasure until we meet again will surely have the ability to soften the pain as we patiently seek out healing in our hearts and minds. Thank you, Jeff, for always simply being you, and may peace be yours until we see you again.
