Peter J. Kloston, 69, Dubuque candy manufacturer and father of Mrs. John (Helen) Dye, died April 6 at Dubuque. Services were held April 9 at St. Elias the Prophet Greek Orthodox church in Dubuque, with the Rev. George Pallas officiating. Burial was in Linwood cemetery at Dubuque.

Born at Gonousa, Klaton, Corinth, Greece, he was the son of James and Theodosia Papadopoulos Kloston. He had lived in Dubuque for 29 years.

He was a candy manufacturer and confectioner most of his life. He founded the Betty Jane Candies in Dubuque in 1938 and later in Colorado Springs, Colo. His candy Easter Eggs were one of the features of the annual B.P.W. carnival in Tipton.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Dye, Mrs. John (Ruth) Heinz, Dubuque and Mrs. John (Lois) Michopoulos, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Hele and Marigola and 2 brothers, George and Kostas, all in Greece.
