Obituary
Richard Ray Ingles, 70, of Oneida, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at his home. He was born on January 5, 1951, in Edgewood, the son of Paul and Eva (Cornwell) Ingles. Richard was raised and educated in the Dundee area. He was a semi driver for 35 years until his retirement.

On December 20, 2013, Richard was united in marriage to Dorothy Mills. Richard and Dorothy spent 50 years together. Together they raised their six children, Paul, Bruce, Melanie, Mike, Pam and Galenn “Fred” in the Oneida area.

Richard enjoyed playing cards, especially in the morning with his wife, Dorothy. He also enjoyed working on vehicles and machinery, and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Oneida; five children, Paul (Cindy) Ling, of Manchester, Bruce (Danielle) Ling of Dyersville, Melanie (Tom) Jones of Quasqueton, Pam (Gary) McDowell of Rowley, Galenn “Fred” (Brenda) Ingles of Dyersville; one daughter-in-law Ann Ling of Lincoln, Nebraska; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Katherine Sickles of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mike Ling; and his brother Roy Ingles.
