Mary Eileen Kennicker, 94, of Farley, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the Unity Point Health-Finley Hospital in Dubuque.

Mary was born May 9, 1926, in Farley, IA, the daughter of Otto and Viola (Oswald) Ronek. On September 22, 1947, she married Francis J. Kennicker in Otter Creek, IA. He passed away on July 2, 2002.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, reading, putting puzzles together and working on genealogy.

Survivors include her five children, Betty (Floyd) Ziel of Hopkinton, IA, Mary Jane House of Belmont, WI, Joseph 'Joe' F. Kennicker of Greenwood, NE, Mark A. (Emily Read) Kennicker of Homer, AK and Chris L. (Konnie) Kennicker of Ames, IA; one brother, Sylvester Ronek of Maquoketa, IA; one half-brother, Dale Kennicker of DeWitt, IA; eight grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Randolph on December 19, 1957; one sister, Louise McAllister; four brothers Justin, Williard, Charlie and Bob Ronek.
