—The death of Samuel M. Pollock took place at Tacoma, Wash., last Saturday. Members of the 6th Iowa Cavalry will remember him as their Lieutenant Colonel, in conmmand{sic} when the regiment retired from service. He came to Dubuque in 1855, was elected City Judge in 1859, winning there the title by which he was ever afterwards known. He continued in the practice of law at Dubuque until 1890, when he removed to the Pacific Coast.
