—George L. Torbert, one of the best known citizens of Dubuque, died on the third inst., aged 64. Death resulted from pneumonia following an attack of grip. Resides his position as the leading druggist, he was president and manager of the Iowa Trust and Savings Bank, one of the strongest financial institutions of the city, and was foremost in many of the important affairs of Dubuque. Surely that city has lost one of its best citizens.
