Mrs. Christiana Spoerl passed away Friday evening at 6 o'clock at her home at Five Points, after a three months illness. Mrs. Spoerl was born in Bavaria, Germany, July 14, 1840. She came to America 55 years ago and made her home at Five Points during the remainder of her life.
Her husband preceded her in death 20 years ago. She is survived by the following children, John Spoerl, of Elcompo, Texas Charles Spoerl, of Five Points, George, of Sherrills Mound and Frank of this city, also one daughter, Mrs. Louise Schneider, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the residence. Interment will be made in the family lot in the Asbury cemetery. Rev. Feller, of the Methodist church of this city, will officiate at the services at the residence and also at the graveside.
