The body of a stranger, believed to be Earl New, of Greenfield, Ind., was found lying alongside the Milwaukee track at Gordon’s Ferry station and was brought to Dubuque. The victim evidently had been struck by a train. He was about 33 years old. A time book bearing the name Greenfield stockyards was the only clue to his identity.
