Forty Years a Dubuque Teacher.
Prof. Charles C. Kretschmer died Thursday afternoon at his residence in Dubuque. For more than fifty years be was connected with the Dubuque schools, and for nearly forty years had been principal of the Audubon school there. He was also a pioneer Odd Fellow, joining the order in 1855, and was a past grand. He was born near Breslau Germany, Jan. 19, 1822.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he died Dec. 9, 1897 and is buried in the Linwood Cemetery.
