—Alfred Treadway, one of the pioneers of Dubuque, and for many years engaged in the hardware business, died Friday evening. He was born in New York in 18{?}7, and came to Dubuque in 1851, where he formed a partnership with the late William Andrew.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Tredway and that he died Nov. 5, 1897. He is buried in Linwood Cemetery. The year of birth is either 1817 or 1847 in the above notice.
