After a brief illness of influenza and pneumonia, Fred Schaller died Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the family residence, 1058 White street. Mr. Schaller was stricken three days ago and pneumonia developed in a short time.
He was born in Dubuque thirty-four yeas ago and lived here continuously. He is survived by his beloved wife, formerly Miss Eleanor Stoeffler; four children, Raymond, Fred, Eleanor and Marion; his father, Louis Schaller; one sister, Mrs. Edward Tracy, and four brothers, Otto, Edward, Louis and Erwin.
The deceased was a member of the Bartenders' union and an attendant of St. Mary's church.
The funeral will be held from the home to St. Patrick's church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock, with burial at Mt. Calvary.
The sudden death of Mr. Schaller is deeply regretted by all who knew him.
