Jacob A. Theobald died Friday night at 11:25 o'clock at the family home, 2510 Central avenue, following a ten days' illness.
He was born in Lorraine, Germany, June 5, 37 years ago, and had resided in Dubuque for 36 years. He is survived by his widow, nee Elizabeth Spautz, three children, Joseph, John and Dorothy, his mother, Mrs. Margaret Theobald, Madison, S.D., Mrs. Joseph Miller, Dubuque, and three brothers, Joseph, Peter and Paul of Dubuque.
He was a member of the Carmen's organization at the Milwaukee shops and was a faithful attendant of Sacred Heart church.
The funeral will be held Monday morning from the home to Sacred Heart church at 9:30 o'clock. Burial will be made in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
