Mr. Nicholas Elligan[sic] died at his home on Windsor avenue at 4 o'clock yesterday morning. Mr. Elligan was afflicted with Bright's disease the past year, a patient sufferer, he never complained. When the dread messenger of death claimed him for his own he calmly breathed his last. Mr. Elligan was born in Germany and came to this country when quite young. He is survived by seven children: Mrs. Michaels, Mrs. Herman Ellwanger, Miss Lillie, Steve, of Chicago, John of Indianapolis, and Nick of this City.
