Dropped Dead in the Street,
Matt Stockemer, a saloon keeper of Dyersville, closed his place of business about 12 o’clock the 30th and started for home. Next morning his dead body was found a short distance from home. The coroner’s verdict is that he dropped dead from heart failure. He leaves a wife and several children.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1855 and is buried in St. Francis Cemetery.
