—W. O. Lavake, law partner of F. E. Malloy, formerly of this city and now senator from Dubuque Co., was found dead in his office in Dubuque, Tuesday evening about 5:30, five wounds in his body showing he had been assassinated John McGarey, a horseshoer, is under arrest for the crime.
