Dubuque's Oldest Citizen Dies.
Dubuque Iowa, Jan. 4.—Burr Alderson, of this city, died yesterday morning, aged 90 years. He came here in 1832 and is said to have been the oldest resident of Dubuque, except possibly Captain John Palmer, who came here about the same time and is still living. Mr. Alderson served in the Black Hawk and Mexican wars. Since the death of his wife, 25 years ago, he has lived alone in a cabin.
