Daniel was born January 2, 1992, to Wade and Sherry Lux, the youngest of 4 children. He was lovingly referred to as the baby of the family, and it was a title he never outgrew. He was a very loving son, brother, and uncle. He attended Hempstead High School and NICC. He had many hobbies, some of which included, playing basketball and working out. He was also known for his love of Spades. Daniel was the Service Advisor at Pro-Clean Car Wash and Detailing for 12 years, where his vibrant, infectious personality won over many customers throughout the years.
Daniel will be remembered most for his kind and gentle nature. He was quick to lend support to anyone that needed it, and quick to forgive any wrongs. He also had a very contagious smile and laugh. He excelled at brightening the world of those around him. He will be remembered for his extreme determination and persistence. There was no obstacle that he felt he could not overcome. Most importantly, Daniel will be remembered for his faith in God. Like others, Daniel had shortcomings on this earth, but his family and friends can rest assured, that through salvation, he is now free from any struggles.
He is survived by his parents, Wade and Sherry (Hanson) Lux. Siblings, Matt Lux, Melissa (Christopher) Weaver, and Katherine Lux. A niece and nephew, Schatzi and Elijah Weaver. His beloved dog, Buddy. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vincent and Margaret (Vondran) Hanson and Leo and Rita (Schilling) Lux.
The family would like to thank everyone that has reached out in support during this difficult time. We would especially like to thank the staff at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. The special care and support provided by the nurses and social workers has meant a great deal to the family.
While Daniel’s time was far too short here with us, his kind and giving nature will live on through his gift of organ donation.
