Patrick McCollins, who served thirty-eight years on the Dubuque police force, died at his home there. He was 68 years old and a native of Ireland. In his early days he cleaned up the old levee district in Dubuque and made a good job of it.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1843 and is buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
