The Anamosa Eureka, Anamosa, Iowa, Thursday, July 19, 1900

Mrs. Maggie Garner-Milner, whom many will remember as the wife of Dr. C. A. Milner, died suddenly on the morning of July 8th in Farley, her home. She had started in a carriage with her two children to spend the day at the home of some old friends in the country, when scarcely out of town was seized with a sudden blindness and faintness, and closed her eyes, never again to open them in this world of trouble and misunderstanding. Without a sign or a struggle death came to her peacefully and without, a moments warning, but those who knew her best feel confident that it did not find her unprepared. For her unfailing kindness and charity in thought and deed she won the love of all who knew her, and many friends in Wyoming will be pained to hear of her early death and feel moved to the utmost pity for her little orphaned daughters, who will, however, be tenderly cared for by Mrs. Milner’s people in Farley.
