Capt. LEO SAHM 1880-1958

Capt. Leo Sahm, U.S. Navy - Ret., 78, a former Dubuquer, died at 3 a.m. Friday at Palo Alto, Calif., after a short illness.

Burial will be in the National Cemetery at San Francisco, Calif.

He was born September 26, 1880 in Dubuque and lived here until 1899 when he entered the Navel Academy at Annapolis. He served in the Navy continuously until his retirement at the close of World War II.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. William Matthews, Palo Alto, Calif., and a sister Mary Sahm of Dubuque.
