received by a … horse on Wednesday. The accident happened while he was turning the animals out of the stable, when one of them playfully kicked him. A short time afterwards his wife found him lying insensible near the stable. He was removed to the house and physicians from Zwingle were summoned. He recovered consciousness enough to detail the particulars of the accident, bur died Thursday evening suffering great agony. Mr. Holmberg was 73 years and 6 months old, and an old settlor of the section where he resided. He was a blacksmith by trade and widely known and respected in the community.He leaves an aged wife and six children, among them his son William Holmberg of Chicago who married Miss Agnes King, of this city some years ago. The youngest daughter, with her husband, lives upon the farm where the fatal accident occurred.
The funeral was held on Saturday last.
