Sister Marie (Charles Marie) Neff, BVM, 90, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at Caritas Center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, in the Marian Hall Chapel. Visitation will be 9 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Sharing of Memories will begin at 10:15 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.

She was born June 11, 1929, in Kansas City, Mo., to Charles and Mary Riley Neff. She entered the BVM congregation Sept. 8, 1946, from St. Joseph Parish, Shawnee, Kan. She professed first vows on March 19, 1949, and final vows on Aug. 15, 1954.

Sister Marie was an elementary teacher at St. Paul, San Francisco; St. Vincent, Petaluma, Calif.; St. Bridget, Omaha, Neb.; Sacred Heart, Lincoln, Neb.; St. Thomas Aquinas, Wichita, Kan.; St. Catherine, Hickman Mills, Mo.; and St. Regis, Kansas City, Mo., where she also served as principal. She was an office staff member in Bonner Springs, Kans.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Mary Ellen Hueneke, Margaret Driskill, and Helen Theno; brothers: Charles and John Neff. She is survived by a sister Catherine Hashman, Lenexa, Kan.; nieces, nephews; and the Sisters of Charity, BVM, with whom she shared life for 73 years.
